Abstract

175,031. Denby, W. H. Nov. 5, 1920. Wind-screens, - A foldable and collapsable wind-screen for the rear seats of a motor-car comprises two movable links arranged one above the other and pivotally connected to a movable member to which the screen is pivotally connected, the links being arranged to be extended until the upper link becomes horizontal and the under link more or less vertical and the movable member connected with the screen disposed against the fixed back member. The fixed back member a, attached to the rear side of the front seat, has two links b<1>, b<2> pivoted to it, one above the other, which carry a movable member c, to the end e of which the wind-screen d is pivoted. In the extended position of the links, the end f of the member c abuts against the fixed member a. To collapse the screen, it is turned down on the member c and the end f of the same member pulled downwardly until the member b<1> passes its horizontal position; the screen will then pack flat against the back of the front seat.
