Stays.-A jointed strut for the folding hoods or frames of perambulator comprises two metal bars a, b of flat section and of unequal length the shorter bar b being hinged at b<1> to a plate a<1> secured to the longer bar a so that the bars may be folded side by side or brought into substantial alignment, the bar a being extended at a<3> beyond the pivot to form a manipulated part and to constitute or stop when the bars are opened out. The bars are pivotally connected by two plates a<1> of triangular shape, secured by rivets a<2> so that one plate is on each side of the longer bar.
