Abstract

Trouser stretchers.-A collapsable trouserstretcher comprises a pair of bars a, hinged at b and carrying at each end a pivoted plate h attached to a bar j carried by the gripping bars l. The bars l are slotted at m, m<1> for the wing-nuts q. the slot m being made long for dismantling. By moving the plates h on the rods j, swinging them about pivots i, and folding the hinged bars a, the stretcher is closed up. The wing-nuts q are provided with washers p which are maintained in position by spiral springs r. A pivoted catch c engages a pin f to keep the bars a in alignment.
