Stays.-The stretcher bars or jointed struts b, b<1> for the folding hoods or frames of perambulators are provided with a sheet-metal bifurcated catch member a that is pivoted on each side of one of the limbs of the strut, the member a having a nose a<1> for engagement with teeth b<3> on the other limb, and being shaped as to associate itself closely with the limb to which it is pivoted, so that it projects only by the thickness of its sheet metal when in the inoperative position, as shown. Specification 251,169 is referred to.
