Abstract
285,452. Stierlin, E. Weber-. Feb. 17, 1927, [Convention date]. Litters.-In stretchers of the kind comprising two longitudinal poles, each formed of two easily detachable parts, and provided with means for spacing them, the spacing means being adapted to be clamped, the folding or. collapsable stays are connected to supporting legs which are foldable and are automatically secured in the position of use when the stays are in the extended position. The longitudinal poles 1, 1<1> have pivoted to them supporting legs 2 to which are pivoted the folding stays 9, 9<1>, the latter being automatically locked by a spring stirrup 11 and a cap 14 when in extended position. A bolt 16 carried by the stays is also adapted to be passed through an aperture in the legs. The poles 1, 1<1> are each in two parts which are detachably engaged bv pin and slot arrangement on fittings 24, 26, Fig. 8.
