Abstract

365,686. Litters. TINTNER, F., 15, Neutorg, Vienna. Nov. 6, 1930, No. 33426. Convention date, Nov. 9, 1929. [Class 108 (i).] In a folding carrier bar for loads such as is used in stretchers the two parts of the bar are connected by a plate and hinge bolts, the plate being of rectangular shape and being rounded at the two lower corners so that the two parts can be turned downwards whilst being secured against being turned upwards. The parts a of the bar are jointed to a plate b by means of bolts a<1> and are locked in their aligned position by means of a locking head c adapted to enter a recess formed when the parts a are aligned. The head c is carried by a pin d which is surrounded by a spring e tending to force the locking head c into its operative position. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a stretcher the end parts of which may be used as a support for the head or feet of the invalid and which are provided with means whereby they may be secured to the bars or to the handles. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
