Folding seats convertible into portmanteaux.- In a collapsable chair convertible into a portmanteau or like receptacle, and of the kind comprising two frames a, c connected together by tubular members b capable of housing telescopic legs d, e, the pivoted back rest comprises two frames m, p, pivoted together at o and carrying fabric z, and adapted to be folded behind and below the chair bottom, as shown in Fig. 3, to form one side and the bottom respectively of the receptacle. A strap z' is used to secure the parts in folded position, and a carrying handle z<2> is provided.
