Abstract

593,863. Collapsable push chairs. PITTS, H. June 18, 1945, No. 15384. [Class 108 (i)] A push chair comprises side frame members 1 inclined towards one another at the handle and jointed at 2, the joint being maintained rigid by a sliding sleeve 3. Stub axles 4 at the lower ends carry wheels 5 and a seat frame 6 is supported by a jointed strut 7, 7<1> locked by a clip 8 or by a sliding sleeve. Bars 10 on the member 6 and 9 on the main frame 1, support a fabric seat 12. A hook 11, Fig. 2, on the handle engages the stub axle 4 or other part in the collapsed position of the chair. The Provisional Specification states that frame members may be integral with the top cross piece.
