Abstract
620,711. Furniture frames. HILL, L. C. D. Aug. 26, 1946, No. 25394. Convention date, Aug. 25, 1945. [Class 52 (iii] A folding leg structure for chairs or tables consists of a pair of rectangular frames 8, 9 preferably of tubular construction, one side of each frame containing a liner of smaller diameter-on which sleeves 5 interconnected by' a crossbar 11 are mounted. The ends 4, 10 of the horizontal frame bars can rotate on the liners to enable the legs to fold, the liners in the chair structure shown being fixed in the lower ends of the back 1. The seat or table top is hinged to one horizontal frame bar and engages the other by a clip 16. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a modified connection for the end 4 of the upper horizontal frame bar consisting of a rotatable socket embracing the rear leg. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
