Abstract

164,406. Evans, J. G. Jan. 6, 1920. Frame construction; springs, arrangement of.-The frame of a child's mail-cart consists of two separate vertical side frames of metal tubing forming substantially oblong closed figures, connected by the axles at their lower sides and at the upper sides supporting the collapsable seat or body by means of spiral springs. The frames c are supported on axles b and havebrackets carrying spiral springs e supporting the seat f, which has side folding members g, h connected by links i, j. The springs e are connected to the ends of cross-bars k on which the members g, h, fold. Tabular handle members l are pivoted to the frames c and are connected to the seat by links m and by collapsable links n to the frames c. The upper parts of the framesare inclined upwardly towards the front.
