325,944. Saward Bros., Ltd., and Saward, A. H. Jan. 9, 1929. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Folding vehicles; perambulators.- In a baby carriage of the type comprising a flexible body held by an upper frame supported by links on a wheeled chassis, the links consist of single bars 1, 2 pivotally connected at their ends to the frame. 4 and to the chassis 3 and arranged in pairs on each side of the carriage so that the two bars of each pair are parallel and form a rhombus with the side bars of the frame and chassis. A handle 6 is provided wider than the frame 4 and pivoted to the rear end of the chassis 3, being connected by links 10, 19 to the frame so that it may be moved about its pivots 7 to lower the frame. The body of the carriage has a rear portion 11 hinged to it which may be set horizontally or at an inclination so that the occupant may occupy a recumbent or a seated position. The bottom of the flexible body 5 may be reinforced with wood or other material and a back-rest 18 may be hinged to it, while the end 17 of the rear portion 11 may have a board to act as a foot-rest.
