Abstract

258,398. Headley, F. H. Aug. 1, 1925. Perambulators; folding vehicles.-A collapsable seat, cot, or perambulator, convertible for use in either a sitting or a recumbent position, comprises two parallelogrammic sides a, b, c, d, the links b being extended to form a U-shaped back b<1> and the links d being extended to form a U. shaped foot-rest portion d<1>, a seat e being suspended between the sides by flexible material e<1> which is extended to fill in the back and foot members, as shown. A pivoted member g may be provided, having a transverse seat-supporting bar s and carrying a stop g<1> which contacts with the struts h when the device is in use as a cot, a pin c<1> engaging a slot h<1> in the strut h when the device is used in the sitting position. Folding legs f may be provided, and the whole device may be mounted on wheels to serve as a perambulator. A pivoted extension i of the front leg f may be used when the device is stood upon sloping ground.
