Clearing - apparatus.- Yarn cleaners or slub catchers for winding, cleaning, and similar machines applicable for artificial silk and other fine yarns comprise two plates B, B<1>, of which one is provided with a slot engaged by a collar d on a transverse screw D, whereby the slit formed by the plates may be adjusted by rotating the screw. The plates are carried by a bracket A adjustably secured to the traverse rail by means of a spring which engages a slot a. A porcelain guide or roller E is mounted in front of the plates.
