Abstract
810,325. Winding threads. ALGEMENE KUNSTZIJDE UNIE N. V. May 23, 1956 [June 14, 1955], No. 16018/56. Class 120(2) A bobbin: winding machine with vertical spindles and vertically reciprocable traverse rail has guide arms pivoted behind the spindles to the rail and carrying guide elements at their free ends, the arms being releasable to pivot to a position where the guide elements are held level with the lower ends of the bobbins. The traverse rail 23 extends throughout the machine and has the guide arms 25 pivoted to it at 26. Each arm 25 has a resilient hook 27 to engage over the rail 23 thereby securing' the arm and carries a guide roller 28, a rod 29 and a projection not shown. When the arm is unhooked, the projection rests against a plate 31 with the roller 28 beside the lower end of the associated bobbin thereby facilitating the piecing up of broken threads or replacement of bobbins. Drive to the spindles 4 is through a belt 7 which may be pressed against the spindles by rollers 6 mounted on a pivoted arm to apply pressure from behind the belt. Threads passing to the winding spindles contact an oiling roller 15.
