Abstract

471,239. Preventing doubles in spinning- machines. PRINCE-SMITH & STELLS, Ltd., and SMITH, W. PRINCE-. March 31, 1937, No. 9164. [Class 120 (ii)] In mule ring spinning- machines wherein the yarn is coiled around the top of the spindle blade and is controlled by a rod 5, doubles are prevented by providing plates 12, or wire frames hinged to a plate 10 carried by brackets 9 and shaped at their ends to form apertures 12a, which serve to confine the rotation of a snarling yarn, separators 13, carried by the plates 12 preventing contact of the snarl with an adjacent yarn.
