[Class 120 (ii).] In bobbin spinning-machines for artificial silk bobbins 10, 101 are arranged in rows on a carrier 7 extending longitudinally of the machine, and guiding means 18, 18<1> are provided so that when the carrier is rotated to bring the empty bobbins 101 into the winding position the filament is engaged by the guiding-means and led to the empty bobbin and severed by notched discs 15 carried by the stub shafts that carry the bobbins.
