Abstract

370,750. Winding yarns. TRIGGS, W. W., 57, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London.- (Chemnitzer Strickmaschinen-Fabrik ; 60, Zschopauerstrasse, Chemnitz, Germany.) June 25, 1931, No. 18371. [Class 120 (ii).] In winding-machines, particularly machines for winding bottle bobbins, in which the traverse guide is controlled by a cylinder provided with intersecting helical grooves of opposite hand, the bobbin is driven by a tapered roller 6 driven at the same speed as the traverse cylinder 5, and is mounted for free rotation and free axial displacement on a spindle 12. As shown, the roller and cylinder are mounted on the same shaft 4. The yarn is laid by a guide 29 and by helical grooves 23 in the roller 6 of the same pitch as the traverse grooves 15 in the cylinder 5 which reciprocate the guide 29.
