299,734. Kann, L. May 27, 1927. Drawings to Specification. Optical-projection apparatus.-In the production of a distorted image on a. slide for oblique projection of scenery &c. for stage purposes, the objective of the projection lantern is used for the production, the slide being made under the same geometrical and optical conditions as under which it is subsequently projected. The geometrical requirements for the production may be obtained with the aid of a scale diagram which is drawn in accordance with the focal length of the lens, and the positions of the projection apparatus, the screen, and the projection axis. The slide may be produced from a picture, or from a projected image of the picture or its negative, and the projected image may be on the screen which is ultimately to receive the image from the slide. The slide may have a concave surface to produce a sharp image, and the, screen may be plane or curved.
