Securing together machine elements for the transmission of rotary motion.-In rotary com. pressors driven from an internal combustion engine employing gearing which may comprise a centrifugal clutch and a resilient drive, a gearwheel 31 is secured on a pinion 29 by engaging internal teeth thereon with the turned-down extension 30 of the teeth of the pinion, a nut 50 pressing the wheel against the shoulder thus formed on the pinion.
