Abstract

260,814. Fornaca, G. Jan. 21, 1926. Securing gear-wheels on shafts. - A gearwheel 1 is adjustably secured on a shaft 2 by a coupling ring 5 having teeth 3, 4 an its inner and outer parts respectively, engaging corresponding teeth on the shaft and gear wheel. The ring 5 is held in adjusted position by a resilient ring 6 engaging a groove in the gear-wheel 1. The number of the teeth 3 exceeds the number of the teeth 4 by one. As shown, the invention is applied to the driving toothed wheel on the cam-shaft of an internal-combustion engine.
