Abstract
155,139. Forrester, H. J. C., (Baker Steam Motor Car & Manufacturing Co.). Feb. 2, 1920. Clutches, applications of; balance or differential gearing.-The engine of a vehicle is adapted to be disconnected from the driving-wheels by means of a ring 10 loose upon a sleeve 7 surrounding and driving the differential gear 6. The ring 10 has clutch teeth 13 adapted to engage teeth 14 on the sleeve 7 to effect the drive. The ring 10 is constantly driven through toothed gearing 11, 12, or otherwise.
