297,089. Le Breton, L. Sept. 14, 1927, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-In a carburettor in which the admission of fuel to the constant level chamber g is controlled by a float p actuating a valve e through a lever r, the chamber g communicates with the mixing-chamber a through a calibrated orifice j, and with the atmosphere through an air inlet comprising a calibrated or valve-controlled orifice k. The fuel from the chamber g passes through a calibrated orifice h into a chamber i opening into the mixing-chamber through a conduit j. The valve l is provided with a conical part m acting to cut off the fuel, and with a tapered needle n coacting with a calibrated orifice o. In a modification, the lever r acts upon the float p through the intermediary of a disc which, should the fuel rise into contact therewith owing to the failure of the float, is adapted to float on the fuel and to operate the needle valve l.
