177,784. Brun, F., and Rassinfosse, F. March 29, 1921, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Spray carburettors of the type having a spring- controlled main air inlet valve have a valvecontrolled passage connecting the upper part of the float chamber and the main air inlet chamber. A valve 2, adjustable by a lever 13 through members 14, 12 and a spring 6, controls the admission of air to a chamber 1 which communicates with mixing-chamber 7. The chamber 1 also communicates with the top of the float chamber through a conduit 18 having a cock 3 and so to the atmosphere through an opening 5 which may be adjustable by turning the screw 19 carrying a needle valve 15. A depression is produced inside the float chamber 4 and this may be utilized for drawing petrol into it. A tube 10 may extend to the upper part of the chamber to retain the petrol around it when the union 16 is unscrewed.
