232,099. Flower, J. W. Aug. 25, 1924. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Spray carburettors.-In a carburettor of the kind provided with a suction-actuated disc or piston 7 controlling a tapering air inlet 1<b> and adjustably mounted on a spindle 10 carrying a tapering valve 12 controlling fuel inlets 4, the mixing-chamber 6 is arrange d horizontally, the air entering the mixing-chamber at the left hand end and the fuel inlets being situated at the upper surface of the chamber so that the fuel enters the air stream at right angles. A dashpot piston 16 is mounted on the top of the stem 10, the fuel entering through an inlet 3 and passing beneath the piston 16 to the orifices 4. A. water or other jacket 2 is provided around the air inlet, which may be fitted with a gauze or like cover.
