Abstract
384,656. Auxiliary-charge admission devices. WATSON, V. F., 72, Kingsway, Wallasey, Cheshire. June 5, 1931, No. 16427. [Class 7 (ii).] Oily vapour is drawn from the crank case through a calibrated nozzle N located at the inlet or outlet of a filter chamber C and passes to the induction manifold E through a passage having a regulable air admission orifice G and a control cock H which may be actuated through a Bowden cable. A spring-loaded ball valve O admits air to the chamber C in the event of the filter D becoming obstructed ; if the nozzle N is located in the outlet from the chamber the valve 0 is located at the manifold side of the nozzle to admit air directly to the outlet passage.
