The anchor disc carrying the brake shoes of the brake b on one wheel of the vehicle is free to rotate on the vehicle axle. Rigidly secured to the disc is an arm r connected to the brake-operating lever of the brake c, a cable s passing over a pulley u carried in a double forked member v slidably mounted in a bracket w. The member v carries a second pulley x over which passes a cable 2 connected to the operating-levers of the brakes d, e. Ther brake b is operated by a hand-lever o, Bowden cable m and casing n having a stop q on the. chassis and a stop p on the anchor plate of the brake b.
