Detent mechanism.-The advance of the actuated wheel 4 of a railway truck or like counter or stop is defined at each movement by means of two or more spring-controlled members bearing on and supported by the sides of a polygonal boss 5 secured to the wheel. As shown, the boss is hexagonal and bearing on three sides are two levers 6 and the surface 12 of a pivoted bracket 8. The levers are pivotally mounted on the bracket at 7 and are urged against the boss by springs 10 encircling bolts 9.
