Abstract
330,620. Abrahams, A. March 8, 1929. Hand and foot actuation.-The brake lever for the brakes on the driving wheels of a motor which is mounted on a part of the vehicle having no movement of translation relative to the driving wheels. The lever 5 may be mounted on the propeller shaft casing 1 or on the open shaft on bearings with a connection to a support of the shaft or on the gear box. The lever 5 may be bent to pass through the floor boards. The brake rod 6 is connected by compensating mechanism to the two wheel brakes. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 11109/02, [Class 108, Road vehicles], and 177,857 and 182,456, [both in Class 79 (iii), Motor vehicles, Arrangement &c. of parts of].
