Abstract
218,258. Compagnie d'Applications MÚcaniques. June 28, 1923, [Convention date]. Brakes, arrangement and disposition of.-Relates to brakes for the steering wheels of motor vehicles of the kind in which the shaft 7 of the' actuating cam 6 is provided with a universal joint 20 thereby permitting the one axis of the joint, in the release position of the brake, to be maintained parallel to the steering pivot 2 so that no rotation of the shaft and movement of the pedal results from the steering movement of the wheels. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that, with the universal joint 20 disposed as above described, steering movement of the wheels with the brakes applied effects a variation in the angular position of the cam 6, which results in a differential braking action on the brakes of the two wheels. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
