466,840. Rest-bars for baby carriages. SCHWARZBAUM, H. D., SPECTER, E., and KEYWORTH, E. C. Sept. 17, 1936, No. 25347. [Class 108 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] A combined wheel-brake and anti-tilting device for baby-carriages comprises an antitilting bar 23 in the form of a lever pivoted at 24 to a plate 20 secured to one of the axles 7 and to a bar 9 which connects the axles. The lever 23 is connected by a link 25 to a flexible brake bar 14 pivoted at 13 to the springs 6 so that when the lever 23 is depressed to operative position with its ends in contact with the ground, the ends 16 of the bar 14 are pressed against the wheels 17. The bar 23 is held in the depressed position against the action of springs 29, 33 by engaging a lip on the plate 20.
