Abstract

274,662. Perin-Walsh Co., and Perin, D. W. Aug. 21, 1926. Castors.-A castor for trucks and the like of the type having locking means for preventing swivelling, is mounted on an attachment plate which also carries the locking means as a complete unit. The locking means comprises a lever or pawl 22 co-operating with quadrantal notches 21 in the upper rim of the yoke or horn piece 4. Ball and roller races are provided between the yoke and the attachment plate 1. A lock against rolling is also provided and consists of an operating lever 18 with an axial connecting-rod 16 actuating a pawl 13 engaging notches 11 in the sides of the castor wheel rim.
