Abstract

383,203. Perambulator undercarriages. POWERS, J. J., Roosevelt, New York, U.S.A. May 18, 1932, No. 14115. Convention date, May 18, 1931. [Class 108 (ii).] Means for facilitating the raising of a perambulator up a kerb comprise an auxiliary frame 13 carrying the rear wheels 16 and pivoted at 12 to the main frame 11. The frame 13 and the wheel 16 are normally held in their raised position by a spring 21. The whole of the vehicle may be raised about the axle 15 as a fulcrum by lifting it while pressing the foot downwards on the end 14 of the frame 13. The frame 13 may be made of channel-section members which embrace the frame 11. when in the raised position, a retaining spring clip being provided.
