Abstract

376,845. Vehicles brakes. COOPERATIVE WHOLESALE SOCIETY., Ltd., 1, Balloon Street, Manchester, and GREENHALL, C., 123, Douglas Road, Acocks Green, Birmingham. April 21, 1931, No. 11739. [Class 103 (i).] A brake for perambulators and like vehicles comprises a pair of levers f each pivoted at g to the adjacent longitudinal member of the chassis and carrying a brake pad for engaging the wheel tyre. The levers are interconnected by a pin-and-slot i and are operated by a footlever p<2> and link m connected to an extension of one of the levers. The lever p<2> is cranked for pivotally mounting on a bar q secured to the axle c and carries a lever arm p<1> connected to the link m. A spring extending from the lever p2 to the bar q is arranged to hold the brake in both the applied and released positions.
