[Class 79 (v)] [Also in Group XXXII] A vehicle is supported at each end on an axled support pivotally movable about a point which is fixed relatively to the body and is situated beyond the centre of the axle on the same side as but further from the centre of gravity of the body than is the supporting means on the axled support the supporting means being located either over the axle or between the axle and the centre of gravity of the body. A road train Fig. 14, comprises axles 119 pivoted at 122 and supporting the body at 127, an extension 121 of the axle frame being provided with a curved surface 124 which engages a corresponding surface 125 on an extension from the rear axle whereby the two axles are interconnected for steering purposes. In Fig. 17 the axles are connected to a frame 131 pivoted at 133 and guided at 139 the frames at each end being connected for radiating by members 138 and are operated from the preceding vehicle by a bar 147 displaced laterally from the draw-bar connection of the preceding vehicle so that on a curved track the levers 145, 143, 141 and links 144, 142 and 140 are operated to turn the wheels 134, 135 on their axles. In a road vehicle Figs. 19, 20 the wheels are mounted at each end in a frame 154, 155 pivoted at 161, 162 respectively to radiate on rollers 169, 170 and interconnected at 171 for steering purposes, the vehicle being steered by a chain or wire passing around sprockets 173, 174 and connected at 172 to the frame 154.
