Abstract

188,935. Atkins, E. Nov. 3, 1921. Springs, arrangement of.- Relates to folding perambulators of the type in which a collapsable body frame is mounted on C-springs carried by the axles and lying approximately within the height of the wheels. The body 10 is arranged on a frame 11 supported by links 31 on a frame 30, and the under carriage comprises springs 23 formed at the ends as C-springs and secured by bolts to the axles 20, 21. The undercarriage is sufficiently low to lie within the height of the running wheels, lateral pintles 32 serving, with straps 33, to connect the springs to the frame 30. Tie rods 25, 26 for the axles may be provided; or in a modification the parts of the springs between the axles may be arranged as bow springs, and tie rods dispensed with.
