Abstract

400,315. Locking vehicle wheels. HEWITT, C. F., 598, Green Lanes, Harringay, London. May 18, 1932, No. 14128. [Class 103 (i).] The wheels of perambulators and other vehicles are adapted to be locked against rotation by the engagement with a toothed wheel 1 secured to the wheel of a pin 3 on an arm 4 pivoted to a bracket 5 fixed to the axle. The arm 4 is moved to the engaged position against the action of a spring 6 by a hand lever 9 pivoted at 10 and provided with a detent 12 for engagement with a rack 11.
