Blocks acting on drums.-In a locomotive or car truck, diagonal wheels are each provided with a brake drum, and a pair of external shoes 26 operated by a lever 29, are adjusted to the drum by a screwed rod 27. The levers 29 are connected by links 31 to an equalizing bar 32 supported by a slotted bracket 33 from the transom 10.
