Abstract

109,125. Massis, E. Sept. 21, 1916. Controlling different functions by same handle or lever.-A brake or anti-skid device, particularly for motor-vehicles, consists of one or more roller shoes which are supported on the axles and can be forced into contact with the ground by liquid-pressure devices which may be operated by the steering - mechanism. In the arrangement shown, two liquid-pressure devices supported on the rear axle are connected by a wire m to a disk r gearing with a disk s which forms part of the steering-mechanism described in Specification 107,404, the arrangement being such that both roller-shoes are depressed when a considerable steering-movement is made. The wire m may be connected to the disk s. In some cases two liquid-pressure devices may be connected to the disk r or s by separate wires arranged so that only the roller-shoe on the inside of the curve is depressed.
