Abstract

275,792. Lees, G. M. Aug. 13, 1926. Taring devices.-In a weighing apparatus of the kind provided with a device for counterbalancing the tare of barrels &c. the tare weight is in the form of a ball or roller adapted to be traversed along the tare lever by mechanical connection with means located at a distance from the weighing apparatus. As shown, the tare weight 9 may be rolled along the tare beam 4 by turning a distant hand-wheel 23 connected to the tare weight by a shaft 20, chain 18, arm 12 and link 11. A second hand-wheel 16 permits the tare weight to be adjusted from a position near the machine.
