Abstract
362,464. Roller weighting arrangements for spinning and preparing machines. PLATT BROS. & CO., Ltd., Hartford Works, and JINKS, H., 8, Equitable Street, both in Oldham. June 7, 1930, No. 17692. [Class 120 (ii).] The front top roller of ring spinning and other spinning and preparing machines is provided with a weight formed wholly as a lever, adapted to bear upwardly against the roller beam at one end, and provided at a point between its fulcrum and its centre of gravity with a link which engages the roller to be weighted. The lever is preferably formed with a portion adapted to rest on the rod usually provided for supporting weights not in use, or a rod placed in a corresponding position, for use whilst the rollers are unweighted. The lever-shaped weight a is fulcrumed on the roller beam at c and is connected by links f, g to the roller h. The lever is shaped at j to rest on the supporting bar k when the rollers are unweighted.
