Rollers and roller heads.-In apparatus for drawing textile fibres in which pairs of small diameter rollers are interposed between the front and second pair of rollers, the lower of the interposed rollers being driven so that each pair in the apparatus will rotate at different speeds and thus co-operate in the actual drawing, the speed of the interposed rollers is arranged so as to be directly in proportion to their distance from the intermediate rollers. As shown, a pair of rollers 1, 2 is interposed, and the roller 2, which comprises a felt, leather or like covered sleeve 8 loosely mounted on a freely rotatable spindle 7, is carried in end levers 10 adjustable by means of screws 21 about a pivot rod 12 supported in slides 18, which are adjustable vertically and secured by screws 19 on rods 17 projecting from a support 14 mounted on the bar 15 in the usual manner.
