Abstract
262,578. Hall, F. J., and Southgate, E. Nov. 21, 1925. Endless - chain elevators with comb carriers; carriers, attaching to chains; guiding. -In elevators of the kind in which the load-carrying trays G are suspended between endless chains H, T, the pins g<5> connecting each tray to the chains are located on opposite sides of the vertical plane passing through the centre of the tray and are in the same horizontal plane. Each tray comprises a horizontal member g', Fig. 2, and a series of plates g<2> secured at right angles thereto to form a grid. The pins g<5> are attached to vertical members g<4> which are secured to oppositely-directed horizontal arms g<3> at the ends of the member g<1>. The members g<4> are kept in the vertical position on the upward run by outer guides A, B and inner guides E, F. In a modification the arms g<3> are connected directly to the chain links.
