Abstract

961,013. Endless bucket type conveyers. MAY FRAN MANUFACTURING CO. March 14, 1963, No. 10136/63. Heading B8A. An endless conveyer comprises buckets each consisting of a floor 10, upwardly diverging end members 12, 12, and side walls 16, 16. Each side wall of each alternate bucket is secured by bolts 24 to a respective chain link 20. The remaining buckets are similarly secured to chain links 22, which are pivotally mounted on pins 26 rigid with the links 20. Also carried by the pins 26 are rollers 50 which run on rails C, and further chain links 57. The end walls 12 of adjacent buckets converge upwardly to form an apex at 39 (Fig. 2), and then are each bent reversely to form a recess for a circular cross-section spring member 40 which functions to prevent material falling down between the buckets. In a modification (Fig. 5), the member 40 may be rigid with one of the end walls.
