Abstract

Carriers, attaching to ropes; endless rope elevators with articles hung on rods; driving-gear.- In elevators of the kind in which buckets, &c. fare suspended from transverse bars connecting parallel stretches of rope s, each bar t is attached to the outer of a pair of clamping members k, Fig. 4a, which are caused to grip the ropes by being screwed together and the inner of which is provided with a tongue z for engaging a groove in the driving pulley. Horns h at the ends of the inner clamping member mount discs at the side of the pulley and effect the disengagement of the tongue from the groove.
