Abstract

227,548. Saltern, J. Nov. 17, 1923. Slings.-Black plates or other articles are held between two bars A, B which are provided with hooks, pulleys or grips C, D for connection with ropes or chains E forming the sling, the ropes being attached to the upper bar and passing round the hooks &c. D, C as shown so that on hoisting the sling the upper bar grips the load. The bars may be made in one or more parts and may be extensible.
