Endless-chain conveyers with slat and lath carriers; carriers attaching to chains; endless-chain conveyers and elevators with platform carriers; push-plates, construction of; parallel chains, without cross-connections. - In conveyer chains the outer link plates 1 are connected together by hollow studs 3, and the inner plates 2 by bushes 4 fitting over the studs, and the conveyer attachments may be secured to the chain by means of pins inserted into the hollow studs, or otherwise. To prevent these attachments from rocking they may have two pins 7, 8, Fig. 6, inserted into adjacent studs, or a pin 13, Fig. 9, for insertion into a stud and an arm 11 perforated for engagement with the pin of the adjacent conveyer attachment 10, or the attachment may extend as shown at 16, Fig. 12, over the link plates and may have points 17 to assist in gripping the conveyer slats 9. The pins 7, Fig. 10, of the attachments 10 may be fitted with guide-rollers 14 adapted to run in a groove 15 of a guide. The attachment pins may comprise screws 18, Fig. 14, adapted to be passed through the chain studs and to screw into the slats 9. The slats 9 may be provided with alternating eyes 19, 20, Fig. 16, for engagement with rods 13 supported in the studs of two chains, and the ends of these slats may be turned up to form a trough conveyer. In another form, overlapping slats arranged above the two chains have dependent lugs provided with pins for insertion in the hollow studs. Attachments as described above may be arranged in pairs for carrying buckets &c. In a vertical conveyer, trays 30, Fig. 28, are carried by pins 13 inserted in the hollow studs. In place of separate attachments the link plates of the chains may be formed with perforated ears, bent or straight, for the attachment of conveyer slats &c., or with upstanding dogs adapted to act as pushers.
