662,715. Conveyers. DIBECTTC VAN DE STAATSMIJNEN IN LIMBURG. Aug. 11, 1949. [Aug. 12, 1948] No. 20945/49. Class 78 (i). A scraper conveyer consisting of upper and lower troughs through which travel two endless parallel chains carrying scrapers fitted to the chains by fastening elements engaging in the vertical links, the fastening elements are passed through the links from outside and the intermediate parts are twisted in such a manner as to make the extremities which are to be connected to the scraper run parallel to the connection plane of the scraper, whereas the extremities remote from the scrapers are provided with means for effecting guidance of the scrapers in the trough. A scraper conveyer moves in troughs 1 and 2 and has scrapers 6 secured to the chains 4 and 5 by means of members which are passed through the links, the part 7 being bolted to the scraper. The thickened end 8 may engage the lower part 14 of the trough to guide the conveyer or may engage the upper part 17 to prevent the rise of the upper flight. The twisted part 10 of the member has helical grooves which facilitate passage through the link and the central part has recesses to accommodate the side links. The part 8 has recesses to allow lateral movement of the chain.
