698,448. Endless scraper conveyers. DRIESEN J., [trading as BISCHOFF-WERKE KOMMANDIT-GES.]. Nov. 30, 1951. [Dec. 14, 1950] No. 28116/51. Class 78 (i). In a scraper conveyer of the kind wherein the scrapers, Fig. 1, are detachably secured at their ends to a pair of endless chains and guided in grooves 7 in a trough 10, the scrapers are formed with recesses 3 for receiving horizontal links 4 of the chains, these links being fitted over projections 5 on the scrapers and secured in position by members 6 pivotally mounted on the scrapers by bolts 8 and engaging under projecting pieces 9 on the scrapers. In a modification, Fig. 4, the chains engage in recesses 12 in shoes 11 pivotally connected at 15 to the central portion of the scrapers and are secured by tongue-like extensions 16 on the scrapers which are formed with projections 17 adapted to bear on the chain links.
