Abstract

864,296. Scraper conveyers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. July 8, 1957 [July 12, 1956], No. 21586/57. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XXV] The scraper flights 10 of a double chain scraper conveyer are connected to a pair of round-link chains by two-piece connecting- devices, each of which consists of two pieces 12, 13, which are secured at one end to opposite sides of the flight 10 by a bolt 16, the piece 12 having a lug 17 which extends downwardly through the opening in a horizontal link 11 of the chain, while the piece 13 is bent to Z-shape so that its free end 19 engages behind the lug 17 (see Fig. 2). The end 19 may be in the form of a hook to engage around lug 17. The piece 12 also carries a bulbous portion which acts as a wearing-piece to engage a chain guide track.
