Abstract

844,771. Scraper conveyers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. Jan. 11, 1957 [Jan. 25, 1956], No. 1192/57. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XXV] The arms 21 of a stirrup-shaped coupler link 19 for connecting lengths of chain in a doublechain scraper conveyer are wedged between the opposed faces 24 of a recess 17 formed in the end of a scraper flight 10 and are secured in position by a resilient longitudinally split bush 25 driven through holes in the walls of the recess 17 and through slightly larger holes in the arms 21. The recess 17 is open at the bottom of the scraper flight 10 which is of box-section construction and encloses a space which is accessible through apertures in the upper and lower faces. The lower face extends obliquely down to a narrow horizontal scraping ridge.
